A garden table changes the pace of a day. At Blooming Garden Café, flowers, greenery and open-air seating make room for the small pleasures: choosing something delicious, catching up properly and allowing lunch to last a little longer.

Set at Tiverton Bungalow on Coonoor Road, our café brings that feeling into the heart of Ooty. You can arrive with a plan for coffee and discover that a shared pizza, a bowl of ramen or a sweet ending belongs in the afternoon too.

A table with room to linger

The garden is part of the experience. White garden furniture, floral corners and the green outdoor setting give a familiar catch-up a different backdrop. Bring a friend, bring a book, or simply take a seat and enjoy a quieter moment between the day’s plans.

There is no need to turn every visit into an occasion. Sometimes the occasion is a cappuccino and a freshly baked croissant. Sometimes it is finally finding time for a long conversation.

Let the table travel

Our menu moves between Asian favourites and café comforts. Sushi and dim sum invite sharing; Spicy Vegetable Shoyu Ramen and Miso Chicken Ramen offer two different ways to settle into a bowl. A slow-fermented, wood-fired pizza makes an easy centrepiece, whether your table favours Margherita, Truffle Mushrooms or Chicken Tikka.

Choose a few dishes that suit your company and let the meal unfold. The pleasure is in the mix: something crisp, something comforting, and another favourite passed around the table.

Make room for your own ritual

Drinks can set the mood. Explore Nilgiri tea, a flat white or a café mocha; try taro milk bubble tea or a fruity cooler when you fancy something playful. For a sweet finish, the menu offers tiramisu, Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake and Burnt Basque Cheesecake, among other treats.

Planning a leisurely breakfast? Our all-day breakfast menu is available Friday–Sunday, with choices including Avocado Toast, French Toast and Tomato Shakshuka. Check the current menu and speak to the team about availability when you visit.
